Celtic Women Institute 

In the Museum of the Western Highlands, there is an unpretentious exhibit of the ways in which stones were used in healing practices among my ancestors of Clan Cameron and MacMillan of Lochaber. Examples of this will be presented and on display.  In addition, the oral tradition finally was written down concerning the ancient and historic herbal traditions. These will be presented with real plant material to examine.  What does this mean for us today and how does this correlate with what is known about herbalism and the biologic activity of various plants in the body.  Herbs used in purification and spiritual work are included.
