Celtic Women Institute 

This class presents the story of the druids and their system of government, religion, and the ancient practices.  Evidence will be presented from documented history, material artforms, and oral tradition from the Western HIghlands of Scotland.  Prophecies of the last Scots Druid of the old system, will be introduced and examined for credibility.  Participants will examine descriptions (visual and written) of the Sidhe/Fairies and learn of the discovery of skeletons giving credence to the oral traditions throughout the world, related to "the little people."  Participants will examine images of various Celtic Goddesses and Gods and learn of the mythologies surrounding each.  Participants will learn the thirty-eight different kinds of Second Sight and about the greatest skill of the Bards - Auric Memory.  Various media, again, will be used to inspire participants.
