« Back to calendar « Previous Event | Next Event »
Wednesday June 19, 2013 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM
to be announced  (map)

This class begins with participants learning and chanting the name of the divine. We examine mother sonics in various forms of Celtic music.  We then explore various genres of Celtic Music and how each form accomplishes several purposes for the listener. Recognizing that sound is sacred elevates one's perceptions and understanding of Celtic Music, its purposes and effects on the listener. Poetry examined will be in Gaelic and English, and music will include chants, bagpipes, harp, fiddle etc.
